Experience Manlilipot Vanishing Island

Vanishing Island — locally also called Wara‑Wara Island — is a unique natural sandbar in the Cagraray‑San Miguel Strait between Malilipot and Bacacay in Albay that appears only during low tide and disappears under water at high tide. When the tide recedes, a pristine white sandbar emerges in the middle of the sea, offering a rare walk‑on “island” experience with clear blue waters and scenic views including Mt. Mayon. Visitors can swim in shallow waters, snorkel, take boat rides from nearby ports, lounge in floating cottages, explore marine life such as starfish around the sandbar, enjoy a picnic, and capture memorable photos of this ephemeral landscape before the tide returns.
