About Cafe Molave and Souvenirs
Cafe Molave and Souvenirs in Tabaco City, Albay, is a cozy cafe and souvenir shop known for German and Italian inspired dishes, specialty coffee, and local crafts.
Tucked along Ziga Avenue in Zone 2, Tagas, this charming spot is owned by Chef Jimmy Gersbach and his wife, Ness. The cafe is known for its warm and relaxing atmosphere, furnished with native molave wood pieces, and it also sells handicrafts and local delicacies made by Bicolano artisans.
The menu blends European comfort food with local flavors. A standout is the US Black Angus Beef Rib-Eye Steak, which many diners describe as one of the best in the region. Other popular dishes include the Creamy Schnitz Pasta, Pili-Almond Chicken Fillet with Honey Dip, and the Melos Cannelloni, which is generous enough for sharing. Guests also enjoy the Bucatini Beef Ragu with Hungarian Sausage Bits, Baked 4 Cheese Pasta with Ham, and the Bratwurst Sandwich.
For drinks, the Spiced Mayon Mocha and Windsor Castle Earl Grey Tea are recommended. Desserts like the German Fruit Cake, blueberry cheesecake, and Pili Orange Chocolate Bars are also worth trying. The cafe is open daily, and reservations are recommended for the 3cm thick ribeye, which should be ordered a day in advance.
